Apple Vision Pro Launches in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K.

Apple is expanding the availability of its revolutionary Vision Pro spatial computer to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K. starting on Friday, July 12. Customers in these countries will have the opportunity to experience the Vision Pro firsthand at their local Apple Stores.

Vision Pro Demos at Apple Stores

Starting on Friday, July 12 at 8 a.m. local time, and continuing until the end of the day on Sunday, July 14, Apple Stores in the aforementioned countries will offer Vision Pro demos on a first-come, first-served basis. These demos will provide a hands-on introduction to the Vision Pro’s capabilities, including:

  • Navigating the visionOS operating system:
    • Users will learn how to efficiently navigate through visionOS, understanding the interface and controls.
  • Exploring built-in apps:
    • Experience apps such as Apple TV, Photos, and Safari in a spatial computing environment, providing a new perspective on familiar applications.

Given the Vision Pro’s high cost, these 30-minute demos are a valuable opportunity for customers to experience spatial computing without a significant financial commitment. Following the initial demo period, it is expected that appointments will be required for demos starting the following Monday, similar to the process in the U.S.

Detailed Pre-Order and Launch Information

  • Pre-Orders in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K.:
    • Pre-orders begin on Friday, June 28 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time. This early access allows eager customers to secure their Vision Pro units ahead of the general release.
  • Pre-Orders in China, Japan, and Singapore:
    • Pre-orders start on Thursday, June 13 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, with the official launch on June 28. This staggered pre-order schedule ensures that customers in various time zones can access the ordering system without significant delays.

The Vision Pro will officially launch in these additional countries, allowing more customers to explore the potential of spatial computing. This phased launch strategy helps Apple manage demand and provide a better customer experience across different regions.

visionOS Updates and New Features

  • visionOS 1.2:
    • This update adds support for languages in the newly added countries and regions. Localization efforts ensure that users can interact with the system in their native languages, enhancing usability and accessibility.
  • visionOS 2:
    • Slated for release later this year, visionOS 2 will introduce a range of new features designed to enhance the Vision Pro experience. These updates are expected to include improvements in performance, new applications, and additional customization options.

Vision Pro: A Revolutionary Device

The Vision Pro represents a significant leap forward in computing technology. By merging augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), it creates a spatial computing environment that offers unparalleled immersion and interaction. Key features include:

  • High-Resolution Displays:
    • The Vision Pro boasts some of the highest resolution displays available, providing crisp and clear visuals that make digital content appear lifelike.
  • Advanced Sensors and Cameras:
    • Equipped with an array of sensors and cameras, the Vision Pro can accurately track the user’s movements and environment, enabling seamless interaction with virtual objects.
  • Powerful Performance:
    • Powered by Apple’s latest processors, the Vision Pro can handle complex applications and multitasking with ease, delivering a smooth and responsive user experience.
  • Comprehensive App Ecosystem:
    • visionOS supports a wide range of applications, from productivity tools to entertainment, ensuring that users can find apps to meet their needs.

Practical Applications of Vision Pro

The potential uses of the Vision Pro span various industries and personal interests:

  • Education:
    • Transform the learning experience with immersive educational apps that allow students to explore subjects in a 3D environment.
  • Healthcare:
    • Use AR to assist in surgical planning and training, offering doctors a new perspective on complex procedures.
  • Entertainment:
    • Enjoy movies, games, and other forms of entertainment in a virtual environment that feels more engaging and interactive.
  • Professional Work:
    • Enhance productivity with virtual workspaces that can display multiple screens and applications simultaneously, making it easier to manage complex tasks.
