Review Summary:

PROS: Easy and effortless installation. Incredible screen protection. CONS: None really.

If you’re looking for a complete iPhone protection, then besides using a case you might want to use a screen guard. This is the only way to make sure that your iPhone is protected and that it won’t break if you accidentally drop it. Just like with cases, you also need to do a little research when it comes to purchasing a screen guard. These come in different shapes and sizes, and they can be made of several different materials which impact their ability to take hits and protect against scratches.

If you ever searched for an iPhone screen guard, you might have noticed some products made by BodyGuardz. This company is known for high quality screen films that are usually a bit more expensive than similar products. On the other hand, there’s a clear difference between these products, and you’ll be getting more reliable product if you’re willing to spend additional $10. Continue reading to learn more about the ScreenGuardz Pure ($40), which is a line of tempered glass screen protectors. We’ll be reviewing the iPhone 5/5S model.

Most screen protectors are usually made of some kind of plastics, and some of them are truly capable of protecting your phone up to some point. When it comes to tempered glass protectors, they are usually a little bit thicker than plastic ones, but they are over a hundred times more resilient. When it comes to ScreenGuardz Pure, you can take a look at a video on its official website where this product is tested against all kinds of damages. Now it time to take a look at its everyday use.

The first important aspect of any screen guard is to see how easy it is to install it. In the packaging you’ll be getting one screen protector, two Home button stickers, a cleaning cloth, a suction cup, and an alcohol swab. You’ll need to clean your hands using the provided alcohol swab, and then you’ll need to carefully remove any dust or smudges from the screen using the cleaning cloth. The suction cup is there to grip the screen so you can remove the lining and carefully position it onto the iPhone’s screen. The good news is that you’ll be able to make some adjustments if you place it wrong, since it will need some pressure to secure this system. As you can see, the process of installation is very simple and even effortless in comparison to some similar products.

When it comes to protection, I am sure you won’t find a better product than this tempered glass film. It’s very resilient and it’s able to protecting the screen from very sharp and heavy objects. This is surely one of the best screen protectors I’ve had a chance of trying out.

The only thing that I need to mention as a complaint is that it’ll take some time to get used to recessed Home button. If you’re using the iPhone 5, you can place the sticker over the button and it will work without any issues. When it comes to the iPhone 5S, you’ll need to get used to this situation if you want to continue using Touch ID.
